Message from the CEO
Hello,
My name is Ojo Ajayi, I am the Founder and CEO of Layole Foundation.
Please permit me to start with this popular saying that; “Charity Begins At Home”. It is always good to make impact and changes amongst immediate family & friends. For example; If your employees, friends or family are in dire need of assistance no matter how little, kindly make it a priority to assist them first.
Charity is an act of kindness, generosity and helpfulness especially towards the needy or less privileged. When a person who has more than enough of what he/she needs and willingly contributes a part of his/her surplus income for the fulfilment of the needs of those who are less capable. Charity is not showing off and never expects returns. Charity is non-profitable. This simply means that we should endeavour to assist people in need from the bottom of your heart. Expensive spendings on material things never assures anybody the needed peace of mind.
There is nothing more satisfactory than finding out that your little act of charity has brought a smile on someone’s face. This is the moment our heart is truly pleased and at peace.
Charity is held to be the ultimate perfection of the human spirit, because it is said to both glorify and reflects the nature of God in whose image we have been created.
Charity is divinely infused into the soul; it resides in the will. In every family, parents should teach their children to be compassionate towards the poor and the vulnerable groups. They should cultivate the noble act in them from a tender age, citing bright examples before them because charity makes one glorious and pure at heart. When you are pure at heart, selfishness, greed and narrow-mindedness will disappear from your character. This can make you attain the climax of any career whatsoever you have chosen.
To the whole charity, humanitarian and people-focused sector I say thank you ALL for your interest in humanity. Permit me to conclude on this note, One of the most fun and enjoyable aspects of my life as I travel around the world is seeing the less privileged and vulnerable groups having a sense of belonging. A great antidote to a purified or non-purified heart!
Please be assured of my esteemed regards.
Ojo Ajayi
CEO (Layole).
